Our Golden Lamb Rugs are lovingly produced from our own lambs, raised in a natural system in the beautiful Monmouthshire landscape. Sustaining the wildlife on our land is integral to our farming: we use no herbicides or routine pesticides or antibiotics, and are accountable to the Soil Association's strict Organic standards.
The Rugs are tanned locally to Demeter (Biodynamic, chemical-free) standards, using vegetable agents. This gentle process retains the natural spring in the fleece, with a strong suede back. Shorter, silky fleeces are suitable for babies' cots and nurseries, while stronger ones are cosy for chairs, beds, floors, cars and camping. Each has its individual character. Average size: 1m x 0.7m. The rugs are normally cream, and may mature to a gold colour, especially in strong light. Rare and interesting darker fleeces also occur. Rugs are machine washable with care.
