A Monmouthshire hotel has won the 'Oscar' of the tea world, The Tea Guild's prestigious Top City and County Hotel Tea Award 2011.
Many congratulations to The Angel Hotel in Abergavenny who has won The Tea Guild’s prestigious Top City and Country Hotel Tea Award 2011 for their afternoon teas, three years after being awarded their Excellence award.
The Tea Guild awards, is considered the Oscar of the tea world, with the best tearooms in the UK competing for the accolade.
The judges praised The Angel Hotel for its smart and elegant surroundings, attentive and efficient service and tasty sandwiches, cakes and scones. The judges were also very impressed by the choice of teas on offer and the quality of tea served.
