Les and Jill Chirnside have been making award winning honey for over 25 years.
Honey has a completely natural flavour, which will differ depending on the nectar gathered. Skirrid Honey has hives placed at various locations around Monmouthshire so that the bees can benefit from the varied rural environment, with nectar gathered from woodland, heath land and pastureland, thus providing a true taste of Monmouthshire.
Honey is also available on the comb, hand cut from the hive and the by-products are used in candle making and polishes. Les and Jill are also interested in supporting and encouraging beekeepers in developing countries; they do this by giving charitable talks and demonstrations to local groups to raise funds. Les is also a qualified Welsh and British honey judge.
